TMT Fort Fitness is run by a local family with roots in Millbrook village. Tania Morris is the Owner and Trainer.

TMT stands for “Team Morris Training”, but there are some other versions… Tania Morris Torturer, Totally Mad Trainer… etc.

Tania Morris,

Tania has over 20 years experience in Fitness (amongst many other things)! She is a qualified personal trainer and exercise to music instructor, with specialist skills in training in different environments, dance fitness, Aqua-Fit, Kettlebells and more. Tania also has an EXCLUSIVE licence to deliver Boogie Bounce in PL10 and PL11 postcodes.

She is a big believer in doing what you enjoy. Exercise for your mind… and if your body follows, that is just a bonus! Tania has experienced personal life struggles that gives her real insight into the human factors involved in starting and sticking to lifestyle choices such as self care and regular exercise.

A late diagnosis (at 40) and now proud ADHD-er, she brings a little bit of crazy… and we love her for it.

She believes exercise should be fun, and for everyone. This makes the Fort Fitness community really feel special.

Sarah Walker

Trudi Materna,

After working in IT for 20 years, Trudi retrained as a massage therapist in 1992. She picked up a back injury while SCUBA diving that meant she could barely walk and after working with a physiotherapist and a personal trainer to get back on her feet, she was inspired to become a personal trainer.

She used her massage and anatomy experience to generate a holistic PT approach with her clients – and here she is now!

She particularly loves working with people who might not necessarily think about going to the gym, and building their skills and confidence so that they can venture out alone knowing they have the tools to train safely and enjoy their workouts.

Trudi often jokes that she never feels happier than when a client/class member ‘dumps’ her because they’re ready to go it alone!

Kat Savage

Kat has been a gym and fitness instructor for nearly 15 years and counting! Specialising in all types of dance fitness classes, boxing, self defence and holistic wellbeing, she brings a variety of energy to the local scene. As a trained integrative nutritionist, meditation expert, and holistic counsellor, Kat has had the opportunity to travel globally with her wellbeing master classes for corporate and charity events, and loves to include some of these particular skills in her everyday classes, bringing a total wellbeing practice to her clients. When she’s not in the gym, you’ll find her hiking her local coastline, usually with a
few dogs in tow.

Joss Morris,

Joss is the daughter of Tania and Phil. She is working for the family business when not at college doing her Level 3 Performing Arts.

Her college course tutors are already using her to support their warm ups and exercise sessions!

Phil Morris,

Phil has a separate career in charity leadership, but does some TMT Fort Fitness behind the scenes stuff in his “spare time”.

Although his career went in a different direction, Phil is a qualified Personal Trainer and met Tania setting up the Torpoint YMCA gym around 20 years ago! He has experience developing and managing community gyms and many forms of health and exercise, from teaching Les Mills Body Pump, to Phase IV Cardiac Rehabilitation.

You might find him at the gym for a cheeky morning workout, or possibly covering for a few hours here and there over a weekend to get in Tania’s good books. 😉
